The leaves aren’t the only thing that change color in the Fall! With new seasons comes new interior design trends. Here’s what to expect for Fall 2022 interior design trends!

Earth Tones

Earth tones have taken over interiors in 2022, and for good reason. While many of us chase the “light and airy” feel for our homes, the Earth tones are here to ground us and give the light and airy aesthetic a little bit of an organic touch. Fall 2022 trends are no different when it comes to this – think terracotta elements, green color palettes, copper finishes, marble countertops, or rattan furniture. Bringing the outside world indoors will make any room feel centered and welcoming.
Gold Metallics

Gold metallics are back and trending in the Fall of 2022. You don’t have to change everything in your kitchen to gold hardware to hop on this trend – simply adding golden decor to your shelf is a good way to add gold to any room.
Green

Jewel tones, forest, and moss will be taking the stage in Fall’s 2022 trends. In the warmer months, we saw light greens take over – now it’s time to break out those deeper green hues. Incorporating your Fall decor will be easy with these beautiful color options.
Barbiecore

Barbiecore might be a new term made popular this year, but it’s an important one to know because we don’t see it going away any time soon. Barbiecore refers to the use of bright, happy, mood-boosting colors in your home and all around life. Barbiecore gained traction after the past few years we’ve had, we’re all looking for something to make us happy when looking at it! Bright pink tables, mirrors, couches, etc. are a good way to incorporate these vibrant hues into your home!
Light Natural Wood

Natural wood effortlessly creates a warm and welcoming environment and can be implemented in almost any part of the home. From decor to floors to beams, embracing and complementing the natural wood tones in your home is a sure way to give that space the comforting Fall feel! If changing your floors is too dramatic, try incorporating picture frames, furniture, dining room chairs, etc. into the area. As far as colors – gray wood tones were trending in previous years but they’re making their way out as we welcome back the formerly loved light wood tones – (my personal favorite!).
Woven Textures

From light pendants to area rugs, woven textures will be seen throughout homes everywhere this season! This specific texture is perfect if you’re looking to add a sense of comfort and coziness to a space. Feeling bold and beachy? Try a gorgeous, woven rattan bed for your bedroom! Crestaceancore
Crestacenecore plays off of the coastal grandmother trend we’ve seen this past season and is one of the most popular searches on Etsy, along with Barbiecore. Adding crustation-inspired elements to your Fall set ups is a perfect way to incorporate this edgy trend!
Tonal Palettes

Tonal palettes are a sure way to achieve cohesiveness in any room and brings a sense of relaxation. The term tonal palettes, or monochromatic palettes, refer to the use of one main color and using variations of that color (different tones, tints, shades, etc). Try using neutrals to bring in the trending Earthy feel that’s taken over 2022! If you’re not sure where to start on choosing a color, pick one color out of a large canvas piece or your area rug.
Coastal Grandmother
If you haven’t heard of the coastal grandmother trend, you’re missing out. This trend that became popular in late Spring 2022 refers to a coastal, yet relaxed aesthetic, whether that’s implemented in your home, lifestyle, or clothes. It brings out a more intentional, thoughtful way of living by embracing the organic elements found in the earthy sand and ocean tones. In reference to interior design, this can be done using sand and sea colors (blues, tans, greens) and classic, light colored slip covered couches. This is also a good time to incorporate the light wooden tones that are also found on our list of popular 2022 Fall interior design trends!
Curved Details

Seen in all of 2022, the curved details are still going strong. Arched doorways and curved counters, accent pieces and curved mirrors, and rounded edges have taken over 2022 and we love it. The softness it adds to any room is a sure way to add the warmth every home needs. Not ready to carve out your doorways? Try changing out your pendants for circular shapes or your squared-back barstools for curved ones.
